Thornaby Community School was founded in 1999, following the amalgamation of two smallercomprehensive schools. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. The school has a long sporting tradition and its teams regularly achieve success at local, county and national level. Team sports include soccer, rugby, hockey, netball and volleyball. The school aims to provide a caring, sharing environment where everyone is valued and respected.
