Background:

Holy Trinity Church of England (Aided) Junior School is one of the family of 56 Church Schools in the Diocese of Durham. The original Holy Trinity School was sited next to the old Holy Trinity Church in the centre of Stockton. It moved to Fairfield in 1968. Throughout the history of the school, its fundamental purpose has been to provide a high standard of education in a Christian context. The school family is closely rooted to the Christian foundation of the church. The school is fortunate to have its own ICT suite with 11 PCs, projector and interactive white board. There is also an additional PC in every classroom for use by two or three children at a time. Extra-curricular activities include choir, football, netball, drama club, swimming, recorders, cycling proficiency, athletics and country dancing. A number of charities, including Barnados, are supported by the school, this encourages the children to play their part in helping those who are less fortunate. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highestquality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
