Wingate Junior School is a co-educational junior day school catering for boys and girls of all abilities from the age of seven to 11. This school seeks a broad and balanced curriculum, which affords all children access at a level commensurate with their abilities and enables them to realise their full potential. Wingate Junior School aim is to provide a curriculum, which is broad, balanced and relevant as well as being accessible to pupils of wide ranging abilities and needs. The curriculum is broadly Christian yet examines the practices and beliefs of other religions of the world. At Wingate Junior School it believes that the provision of sport and physical activities is a vital component in achieving a fit, active society, appreciating the importance of exercise both for the body and brain. It believes that it is important to introduce the pupils to as wide a spectrum of sports and activities as possible. Sports, which are played, include football, cricket, rugby, hockey and tri-golf. The school is fortunate enough to have a large playing field along with substantial yard space.
