Small, well-resourced school, 'strongly supported' by parents; housed in modern, open-plan building with octagonal hall; four teaching areas with shared reading/activity corners and practical area used for range of activites by all classes. Facilities include ICT suite and a purpose-built library given to school in memory of a pupil who died. Extensive playing fields and grounds, including football pitch and all-weather netball courts. Gymnastics, dance, athletics and games offered, in addition to swimming for pupils in Key Stage 2 pupils. Football club, netball team, dramatic and musical productions; pupils have opportunity to learn musical instruments such as recorder, guitar and violin from peripatetic music teacher. Active parent-teacher association. School has 'strong family ethos, committed to helping each pupil achieve their full potential educationally, spiritually and morally'. DfES achievement awards in 2001 and 2002.
